KEY POINTS

ARCHITECTURE

On an impressive area of 2,475 m², spread over three tents, we realized a well thought-out and flexible trade fair architecture. With around 800 running meters of Octanorm, we created individual exhibition boxes for ministries, the state parliament, parliamentary groups, offices and associations. The concept was complemented by a 500 m² carpet area as well as a backstage area for artists and a separate press tent. A total of 42 exhibition stands in various sizes were created to meet the diverse requirements of the exhibitors.

The Café Pfungstadt was successfully realized as part of the State Chancellery’s appearance at the “Treffpunkt Hessen” during the Hessentag 2023 from 02 – 11 June 2023.

The modular building over two levels offered both indoor and outdoor areas and housed a café and bar area. In addition, the town of Pfungstadt presented itself in a specially designed area that focused on the town’s identity, community, infrastructure and growth.

The interactive exhibition served as a stimulus for conversations in the café and offered visitors stimulating content.

FOCUS

Under the motto “More identity, more community, more infrastructure for more growth”, the focus was on a functional yet aesthetic stand design. The exhibition stands were specifically designed to convey a strong brand identity, promote interaction between exhibitors and visitors and enable sustainable use of the infrastructure. Particular attention was paid to the Backstage Arena, which was equipped with custom-made boxes and changing rooms for artists, as well as the press tent, which offered a professional working environment with partition walls and lighting.

The two-storey building impressed with a well thought-out combination of indoor and outdoor areas, including a café and bar area as well as a spacious terrace. A special focus was placed on the presentation area of the town of Pfungstadt, which was dedicated to innovative future issues relating to identity, community, infrastructure and growth.

One highlight of the exhibition was the interactive “thought wall”, where visitors could record their ideas for the town. This concept was so well received that the installation was continued after the Hessentag – proof of the project’s lasting impact.

MATERIALS

For a uniform and high-quality look, all visible areas were clad with B1-quality curtain walls that meet the highest fire protection standards. The Octanorm systems used ensured a flexible and sustainable stand construction, while targeted lighting concepts set the individual areas in the best possible light. The result was a modern, modular trade fair environment that perfectly combines functionality and design.

The motto of the Hessentag “Pfungstadt attracts” was implemented in the materials used, which employed the colors of the city’s coat of arms. The café area was brightly decorated with color accents, and an exhibition on printed Forex panels presented the projects on free-standing steles. These materials will continue to be exhibited in the town hall after the end of the Hessentag.
